When Obama was campaigning for his party nomination and later on to become president, a lot of rumors and conspiracy theories began popping up. In this article I discuss some of the more outlandish ones.

Obama Came Out of Nowhere

One of the most popular reasons cited by conspiracy theorists that Obama is some kind of NWO operative is that he "came out of nowhere" and that "nobody has ever heard of him before."

This isn't necessarily true at all.

Other than his numerous community programs which helped him become more prominent, before running for president he:

  • Taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago for 12 years and lectured for 4[46]
  • Illinois State Senator 1997-2004[46]
  • US Senate 2004-2008[47]
  • He was interviewed with Ebony magazine in 1990[48]
  • He published two books, Dreams from My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance (1995)[49] and The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream (2006)[50]

I'm not sure exactly what's required for a person to run for President, Ron Paul wasn't exactly well known prior to the election outside of far-right circles.

My question to anyone who states this is: Are you aware of every single politician in every state? If they decide to run for higher office, does that then mean that the person you didn't know of JUST CAME OUTTA NOWHERE?
