I recently had an email debate with a Zeitgeister who claimed that there "isn't enough evidence" out there to form a conclusion regarding 9/11.

Of course we've come across this objection before, and it seems particularly common among Zeitgeisters (and "John Smith" on the FB group) who don't toe the Truther line unequivocally, but who are reluctant to endorse the real facts. I'm on record as claiming that these people are de facto conspiracy theorists.

However, in response to this person I claimed I could prove that 9/11 was NOT a conspiracy. He said he was interested in seeing that proof.

Consequently, I'm working on a document titled "September 11: What Do We Know?" which tries to lay out a few key pieces of evidence, and connect them logically. This is not intended as a comprehensive debunking. Nor is it intended, really, as an attack on Truther theories (though of course some get mentioned and are refuted). Basically it's, why is it a slam-dunk that Osama's hijackers did 9/11?

I'm trying to avoid using the 9/11 Commission Report and the NIST report as much as possible, just to avoid arguing with people whether or not they're respectable sources. (They are, but if I can prove 9/11 without using them, so much the better). I'm starting from eyewitness man-on-the-street reports of what happened, also using exhibits from the Moussaoui trial, which can be regarded as authoritative because they were tested in open court and subject to cross-examination by Moussaoui's lawyers and they still could not be impeached.

My aim here is not to convert CT's, but maybe to convert those who are "agnostic," or think they are. If nothing else, agnostics who continue to reject evidence can at least be identified as affirmative conspiracy theorists instead of dwelling in this gray zone that so many of them like to inhabit so they can avoid getting called conspiracy theorists.

The guy I'm talking to on email is definitely a true ZM believer, but from my conversations with him I think he could be on the verge of changing his mind at least about the veracity of the films.

Anyway, this is just a heads up, if anyone wants to see what I put together when I finish it, or even host it on the site, let me know.

We know that 850,000 Americans have the highest level of access to intelligence and not one has Twittered that 911 was an inside job.

I think the number of "agnostic" people is much higher than most people tend to acknowledge.

Good to hear you're getting the facts straight for them to see.

Are you going to mention any of the historical events that lead to our understanding of al Qaeda's involvement? Namely how al Qaeda and bin Laden themsleves have a history of perpetuating attacks and even claiming such attacks were coming? This is a potential source if so

Thanks Kaiser, I will look at that.

I'm trying to go absolutely bare-bones. Prove the planes crashed into the towers, prove the towers collapsed as a result of plane strikes, prove at least one of the identified hijackers actually did it, and prove an Osama connection.

When you focus on this core, it actually is pretty straightforward. I'm not even going to deal with Pentagon or Shanksville, and I'm focusing only on a single hijacker (Atta). Logically, once you prove a single hijacker with an Osama connection did it, it's so unlikely as to be impossible that the other alleged hijackers have any different connections, or that Pentagon or Shanksville occurred for any other reason.

Again, I know this would not satisfy CTs, but hopefully it will illustrate to those who are "agnostic" that there is plenty of evidence for them to come to a conclusion.

I get what youre coming from, and at some point I personally want to address this al Qaeda is a made up organization nonsense. I just thought the history stuff would show motive and intent pretty well. But I'm excited for this, I enjoy your articles quite a bit.

The document is finished. I sent a copy of it to the Zeitgeist member I've been emailing. Whether it will convince him is anyone's guess, but it was worthwhile to be able to put it together.

I also posted it on my own web site as a .PDF: http://www.giamotti.com/911agnostic.pdf</p>

I circulated it privately to some of you earlier in order to elicit suggestions for revisions. Those revisions have been made. Thank you to everyone who commented.

We'll get this on Conspiracy Science somehow, but I'm not sure quite how to do it best, whether to link it as a download or try to format it as one long HTML page (the document is 30 pages!) or a series of linked pages. That's a project for another day.

Muertos,

If you want to export your original doc or PDF as html (assuming you use Word or Adobe Acrobat) and email it to me in a zip, rar, or really any format, I could convert it and put it up.

That seems really big for a blog post, is it going to be it's own article?

Muertos,
Just go to Save As.. and in the file type select HTML, it might save a file and a folder, just zip those and send. Also depending on the version of word, there may be a "Save as web page" option, which is even better, and I suggest using that.

Sil,
Yes, it's going to be an article.
